Hello Emma!

Embarking on a Walkabout is so exciting!! I'd ground myself in some fantastic literature that resonates- On the Road by Kerouac, Travels with Charlie by Steinbeck or some lovely Mark Twain and Bruce Chatwin. I would definitely follow that with Vagabonding, by Rolf Potts. And be open to anything that comes your way, travel light and be sure to ground yourself with something familiar- be it coffeeshops or hiking or whatever makes you feel calm and can be done almost anywhere in the world. Have a comfort food (mine is pizza) and a community gathering place (mine is coffeeshops) and be sure to incorporate them when necessary. Good luck and travel safe!! Enjoy the journey!

Thanks so much, Veronica! I'm glad you're enjoying my work! You can start wandering anytime- and you don't have to go far to do so. But, India- Congrats and have a blast! I spent some time there one summer, my first international trip. Wow! What a country! Enjoy it, and have some chai for me, please! The chai-walla's are wonderful. Take care and wander safe!

Thanks Maria!
Sorry for the delay in posting your comment- it was snagged by the spam filter. I'm not sure the best way to juggle the blog and other commitments, but sticking to a schedule- or trying to- keeps me on task. And lots of espresso. Take care!

Hi - very great site you have made. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically sweet. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a marketing firm. I have always enjoyed working with computing machines and am attempting to learn code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).

Thanks for writing about this. There's a bunch of solid tech info on the internet. You've got a lot of that info here on your site. I'm impressed - I try to keep a couple blogs fairly current, but it's a struggle sometimes. You've done a solid job with this one. How do you do it?
